I seem to recall a diorama published in FSM's early days of just such a Panther. It was set in a courtyard scene where tankers were painting on the US markings while Skorzeny was briefing his officers on the details. I want to say it was a Francois Verlinden piece, but this was a long time ago and I may be fuzzy on the details.

Joe, it does take more than just paint and markings. There is also the sheet metal around the turret to make it look like an M-10. Not sure what sources would be arguing about what vehicle those is and who it belongs to. The Dragon M-10/Erstaz would defiantly be the one to get, there panther kits are superb.

Also the front nose of the Panther was modified to look like the M-10 rounded nose.  Problem is I have found only two good pics of the modified Panther tank. Perhaps getting a 1/35 M-10 kit would be a good idea. Maybe I could use it to modify the Panther.

That would take one hell of a mod. Can you not just buy the kit, would save time and probably money as well.

Of course I can...Im just looking for ways to make it more difficult!

Thanks for the shout-out there KT5150, I just finished the thing a couple of weeks ago. Interesting Joe, I'm working on a diorama for it myself.

As Bish pointed out the Dragon kit is excellent and I guess with a good set of plans and some sheet plastic you could duplicate it but why reinvent the wheel? Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Ill do my best although will have TONS of questions as I go along...hope you guys be patient!

I need to get that kit as well, got to add it to the panther pile.

My Ersatz M-10 tank kit arrived a few days back.  I must admit the kit seems intimidating but awesome at the same time!
