Easy Cast Resin Concern w/ Pics!
Posted by duckman on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 12:51 AM

Hello everybody, its been a long long time since I posted in this section!

Im working on my first Diorama in atleast a decade. Now older and wiser I hope! Anyways Im working on a scene that will incorperate a German midget sub and a Arado 196 Floatplane (pictures to follow).

I plan on half submersing the Seahund in Easy Cast Epoxy Resin same product used by modelcrazy in his Rufe diorama, my worry is the heat it generates while curing. Will this potentially destroy the tiny sub?

I have the first coat of resin poured (1/2" thick) and plan on pouring another quart tomorrow evening!

Cheers,

Eirc.

Went ahead with 2nd pour, so far I've spent $160.00 on casting resin! still gonna do one more to bring up the level....

Now that me diorama has progressed to a point where I'm happy here  we go!

I've never done 'water' so I'm watching this one closely. I like the color(s) of the bed under the water.
