GMorrison

No. What's the connection?

Sounds good from IMDB. No doubt Sean Bean dies.

Jack, have you seen Beau Geste?

There is a scene in there where one character is explaining the tale of the 47 Ronin to Robert DeNiro's character. As he does so, he is arranging Samurai figures on a large tabletop scale model display of feudal Japanese scene. It sort of goes along with this post in telling a tale using "toy soldiers".

I won't give away Sean Bean's fate. But I do recommend you watch it sometime. A good action film done intellegently.

Thanks everyone! These are the plastic figures and are a joy to paint.

Love Beau Geste - read the book years ago, too, and love March or Die as well.

Stumbled onto this site a while back - this guy specializes in books about the Legion, everything from histories to obscure novels.

Great job. I like the way you take photos. 1886 Lebel, my favorite bolt action combat rifle.

March or Die is a good one! With Gene Hackman

I'm actually into miniature figures more tha model making and love the conte stuff. Also king and country, figarti etc. are those the preprinted pewter or unpainted plastic? Conte is dead on accurate in 1/32

Have you ever seen the movie "Ronin" GM?

Nice work of the figures and photos! Some folks here have a great way to match their imaginations with their hobby work.

Jeez some guys just never grow up. Toy soldiers in the sandbox!

Neat stuff, all the way around.

My buddy Christophe and his family were rescued from Rwanda by those guys. He said they were a pretty tough bunch.

And now travel back in time to the late 1800s, to the burning sands of North Africa...join the desparate, the disillusioned, the dastardly fellows who have left their pasts behind and joined the society of second chances. A time and place where death can lie behind every dune...

A pre-dawn reveille echoes across the walls of a fort somewhere in Morocco.

An alarm is raised - movement in the distance. A cloud of sand on the horizon. Whether created by a storm or humans, rarely a good sign...

Tuareg! Fierce desert nomads that give no quarter and fear no enemy...

Steady and hold until they're in range - turn this horde around and there's an extra cup of pinard for you all come evening...
