Hey, I am thirsty. How much for Coke? 10 Centavos? Thats one of them bend off bottle cap jobs isn't it. Remember how good a coke tasted when you were a kid? Man, what a treat it was. I loved the fizzy part.

It looks great,  sir!

I love that old Coke machine!  If you want to do a modern garage:

It's a Doozy!  Possibly the simplest resin kit in the world - only one piece!  Waterslide decals too!

Now we need a candy vending machine...

Beautiful work so far. Is there a build thread on the PU? I see no battery chargers for power tools or compressor/piping/filters for air tools. I'm assuming the dio period would determine which. Just first cuppa rambling. PaulE

Now, that's a dandy addition.

That's awesome, Joe.

But it brings up a bad memory. Back in the early 80's, probably, we had a Coke machine just like yours in the shop. I was young and wanted modern, I got rid of it in favor of a 'modern' pop machine.

To this day every time I see one I cringe. I have no idea if they are worth anything. Not the point.

That said, you have the next best thing, and it takes up less room.

Love your dio! I know that the 'tool box' part of it is pretty old in the forums but I am just thinking that so many of those boxes you see have a couple of drawers that are about an inch from being closed all the way. Not nit-picking but just wanted to point it out and am thinking it would ramp up the realism a little.

Every time I see this thread pop up I think of that Frank Zappa song "Joe's garage".  Very cool man.

I ended up buying a kit the other day from Hobby Lobby that had a die cast Coke machine in it. I just couldn't help myself. I HAD to have this for my shop dio. After thinking of how I was going to mask everything off and paint it up I decided to obtain an adhesive backed vinyl sheet used for sign lettering. It worked perfect. Cut it to fit, applied all the decals and painted the details.

Cleaned and tidied things up a little more. A more topside view to capture more of the items on display than the side photos did. Still working on the outside on this one.

Thanks Joe!

Most all of the work inside is finished. I'm concentrating efforts on the outside of the building now. While I'm waiting on the funds to do that it gave me the perfect opportunity to show the stocked internals of the building as well as some progress on the Foose 56 Ford F-100 Demon II build that I'm working on.

More wonderful ingenuity there Joe. That will certainly enhance your garage when you get it on.

Been following this project Joe and it just keeps amazing me! A tiny weathered dust pan...really man!! That's too cool!

What's the size of those bricks? I'm interested in something like that for a project I want to start on.

Keep up the great work buddy!

Thanks Andy! What scale are you going to be working with?

    Thanks Joe and T.B.

Well gang...............I started thinking about how I could go about the outside of the walls but didn't just want to put something directly over the walls because the window and door wouldn't be spaced in any plus it'd be really hard to cover what is already there without damaging the walls that I already have in place. So I came up with an idea.

I cut out a piece of plexiglass the dimensions of the walls and cut out the window area for the back wall and will cut out the door area for the side wall so that both items are spaced in from the outside of the walls.

    Wall trimming in progress:

and the outside of the wall now covered in a textured brick pattern covering from Dollhouse Miniatures. I've still got a little clean up to do but you get the picture. ;)

The new additions and touches are outstanding Joe. You certainly have an eye for the minute. I think you really did a fine job on the door and floor weathering. Looks very realistic. I believe you are having more fun with this than any other build I've seen you do. It shows.Yes

I thought that fishing sticker on the wall outside of a auto theme might jog things up a bit. Got a little more done and thought I'd have some fun today. I have more signs but was careful not to overdo it. The sign over the door made me laugh my ass off. Actually.................BOTH did. Look closely.

In the foreground are the Evergreen strips for the window trim. Gotta make some diagonal cuts in the ends in which to butt them together, prime and paint 'em up and get 'em on the wall still.
