Wrong shape for Italian Cypress, and, given how regular the spacing is, a modern producing olive grove.

According to some smart folk I asked, Tunisia was not electrified until the 50s.  The electrical service was on iron/steel tripod poles like the one shown.

There was telco in Tunisia in the 30s & 40s, which was on a 2 or 3 wire trunk lines hung from cedar or cypress poles.  Which would have likely been on insulators on "L" irons from the side of the pole.  The mechanical connections of the cables were considered poor at the time--the telegraph and telephone service in Tunisia was considered "poor."
