Big Smile lol. (strange that they don't have a laughing Emoticon).

Anyway, very true PFJN, unless it's the ant's perspective. Wink

There's a widely-published (with wildly differing captions Smile) of a CH-46 Sea Knight  that has perched on the roof of a building with the nosewheel out over some abyss while troops transit the lowered rear ramp.  This would be a striking dio--if needing a huge foot print in 1/35 (pretty large in 1/48, too, come to cases).

The one I’m thinking of is a CH-47, but someone built one on this forum, can’t remember for the life of me who did it.

Edit- found it, model has built it

Unfortunately photobucket strikes again. It was a fantastic Dio you can still see if you click on the broken photobucket link will take you to the album, pics are still there. Thanks for reminding me of this build CapnMac

Yikes !

That one would definitely have me in a funny room with padded walls and a jacket to keep me from harming myself ! !

That would be like a firing squad . Eyes shot , Nerves shot , Fingers  shot , Olfactory senses shot , ad infinitum .

But ! Whatta way to go out !

Saw another pic of a CH47 in Afganistan doing the same, hover over open space while the grunts unload on a rocky outcrop, from the ramp.

Sorry TB, i didn't realise it took up that much space. That was my tribute to the RAF on its 100th birthday. Took it down a few days ago.

Great model. Would love to see it in an underwater type diorama.

Well, sure but it took a while to put together. Aquatic environment dios are best as CG.

Will guess "CG" means "Computer Graphics"--a notion I'd second compared to, say, resin immersion.

Otherwise, to my thinking, you are left with making a deep/tall display case, and having the "surface" just under the top of the case to imply the depth.

At the price of resin, you would need to win the lotery to afford that much anyway.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Going through my stash I pulled out my tamiya quad guntractor and 25pdr kits (one comes with glue lol).  I was poking around and found this pic.  Anyone make this style pontoon bridge?  I know there's a bailey bridge in 1/35.  Would make a nice diorama

Complete with glue :)

Thanks,

John
