Pity about that, they look really nifty and useful.

Maybe I should use them as frogs eggs in a giant frog diorama...

Sodium polyacrylate mixed with water is used to make artificial snow for movies, but not for dioramas, at least that I know of, since it eventually dehydrates and reverts back to it's original state, loosing it's fluffy appearance. It is also used for disposable diaper filling....Whistling

I don't really see much else in the way of diorama usage.

Hi Folks,

I seem to remember that I saw a brief mention of using sodium acrylate beads -- the things you add to flowers to retain water and that expand to 150 times their original size -- in relation to water as part of a diaorama. Maybe I'm way off base but I thought that here might be the best palce to clear up the issue. Any thoughts about this anyone?
