Slightly different dio idea
Posted by Jay Bones on Wednesday, March 07, 2018 9:50 PM

In addition to a dio of a couple guys pulling the engine from a Shelby GT350H and transplanting the regular 289 from their Mustang before returning it (something that did happen), I've also thought about a dio of a couple guys building a roll cage and bolting it into their rent-a-racer (something that also happened).

Would sprues be the right scale you think?  1:24 scale.

Or do I need to find some plastic model pipe?

I'd get plastic tubes. Sprues are never really round.

Actually Jay, if you’ve got soldering skill, it’d be a nice project with 1/8” brass rod.

I do have one.  Mostly use it for electric guitar repairs and mods, along with the occasional amp or pedal.

Never would have considered 1/8 brass tube.  Thanks.
