I've only m,ade my own for 35th scale builds and used scatter materials over polyfibre drapped over the branches. Still need to imrpove on it a bit but was not to bad for first attempt.

Thx Bish.....very happy with the trees too.Saw alot of people using flock....but the stuff I found makes a more detailed bush in my opinion
Griffin25 That is some nice scratch ground work. Especially in 1/72. I would put the guys with their weapons to bear in the front and the other guys bringing up the rear. First contact type of thing. More realistic

Started this hobby very recently.....luckily there is lots of support for the hobby over here. One of our local hobby shops hosts a workshop once a month where all builders can come and sit and build in the shop, have some coffee and exchange ideas and progress.I picked up a lot of ideas from there.....oh and youtube.....love youtube...lol
thx....Yes I was playing around with the same idea....only reason why the current guy is in front is because he has the best detailing on his face....
checking for possible positions for the figures before I start painting on them next weekend

Since I had a few 1:72 US Special forces figures lying around I decided to fool around and make a small Dio with them:
I used a boxframe and covered it with a piece of perspex leaving the one corner open with temporary sidewalls. The idea was to spray it full of expandable Builders Foam, and when it expanded it will push out of the open corner creating a moldeable piece of "rockface"

I then started to carve out the rock to shape it..... I found the inside had a air pocket and it actually formed a nice little cave.I used two cutoffs from the carving as rocks
