Weekend GB: Not a feeler, but an invitation or warning
Posted by lewbud on Thursday, October 25, 2018 1:16 PM

The Weekend GB is coming! What is it you ask? It's the simplest yet hardest Group build out there. Take an unstarted model (photographic evidence required) and finish it in 48 hours.  Simple, yet difficult. If you think have what it takes, mosey on over to the Group Builds house and join us. If you don't come on over and watch the carnage, you might get inspired. To be honest, I don't expect a diorama in two days but you could finish a piece of one. If you looked at my previous statement and thought challenge accepted, you really need to join us because I really want to see that.

Wouldn‘t be easier to post this feeler in the Group Build thread instead of all over FSM in each subject thread? Just saying...

It's been there for a couple of weeks. I hit all the fora for a couple of reasons. One is that everyone can do this. A lot of group builds are restrictive by their very nature, and may not appeal to everyone. Two, I can't be the only one on this forum who don't visit every fora on a daily basis. In fact I very rarely visit this area, sci-fi, armor, figures, and ships. I figured if I didn't frequent them, they may not frequent the group build area so hit them all. If you're interested give it a shot, I'd be glad to have you join us.

I learned quickly I don’t do well completing a task in Group Builds. Plus, I’m a slow builder and rarely complete a kit in time for a deadline. So I avoid them altogether. Thank you for the invite though.

I understand completely. Drop in on us once it gets going, you might get inspired. If not, enjoy the mosh pit that is the Weekend GB.
