So where do you get that water effect and how can it be modified for teh ship you are using?

I have a great Lakes carrier, the Wolverine that this effect would look great with but I'd need two wakes and it wouild be a smaller scale.

But it looks very cool, and grabs the artention!

Now, odd is like those little green Zoks dancing around in the video!  I have no idea what the bending coconut tree was supposed to be about...

I donno, that looks like some sort of after affect.  You can see the guys in the background are not moving, so it's a still image.  Also look at the wake at the stern of the ship, and the smaller model in the lower right corner; something funky going on there.

That is a really impressive display!  Ship looks like she's cruising along.  Thanks for sharing that.

Thanks,

John

The Shizuoka show brings out some astonishing club and individual model displays that seem to bend and break our preconceived notions of what is possible.  It is definitely on my bucket list to visit.

Neato doesn't even begin to cover it! The show looks like a great time... I'll have to plan a trip someday (right after I win the lottery). I'll need my own cargo ship to get all my purchases home though!

Edit: Thanks for the response! Always good to be in the know. =)

It’s an LCD screen.  Neato, huh?  Someone on this forum posted a yacht using the same technique.  I think it’s brilliant!

I also love that Thunderbird dio in the link you posted - that’s my favorite episode.  The music is just bang on exciting!

I saw this video on The Modelling News a few days back, and I almost missed this incredible ship diorama. It's not shown for very long in the video, but here it is:

What kind of sorcery is this?! Does anyone know how the effect is done? I've no plans to recreate it, just curious how this is pulled off.

Thanks!
