Real G

I think scale models of "mundane" scenes resonate with more people because they can relate to them.  The challenge is that everyone knows what a street scene looks like from real life experience.  And when it is done well like yours, the little details like the trash are a delight for the eyes.  YesYes

And yeah, I have been to loading docks like yours but the trash didn't delight my eyes.  Tongue Tied

If you put a real picture beside this, you couldn't tell which is the real thing and which is the diorama.

A very positive response. Thank u.

Dodgy

Wow!!! Tiking your attention to detail and painting skills are awsome! Even when I knew it was a model I kept having to look at to convince my self it wasn't real. The most realistic diorama I have ever seen.

My deepest thanks and appreciation Dodgy. Glad you like it.

Outstanding.  I can smell that dio; the grime on the dock leveler is perfect, too.

Appreciate the re-assurance. Glad you approve.

You're missing the red/green lock/unlocked lights!

Seriously, I thought I was looking a random pictures of a loading dock! I've seen hundreds from my side mirriors while backing in and "bumping" the dock during my time driving a Simi.

WOW, that's just incredible. I have no other words for it! That looks real and someone couldn't convence me otherwise unless I saw the frame.

Picture Frame Diorama - Loading Bay
Posted by Tiking on Monday, August 31, 2020 3:07 AM

First things, first. I'd like to thank Andreas Rousounelis for inspiring me with his many awesome frame dioramas. He is a master with these kinds of dioramas.

Giving this is my first try, I decided to go with another loading bay theme for trucks. It was the simplest idea, since I like trucks, and had built a similar scene before. The scale is 1/24 using scratch built materials.
