Detroit WAS the truck engine of preference from WWII until the late '70s...and until the mid-'80s, a division of GM. The 71 series was/is bulletproof but noisy, thirsty, messy, and only at its best when wide open. The old saying was, "For best results, slam your hand in the door before driving".
Blue things...one is the air compressor and the other, which is actually black, the power steering pump.
Yeah, it should have more lines and wires. Excuses: lazy, impatient, and suck at making them look realistic in tight spots.
5th wheel grease is ultra-fine sawdust mixed in with cheap acrylics then finished off with oil then clear...the same way I do wet mud and most textures.
The specific suggestions on places to improve are greatly appreciated. Sometimes I can't see the trees because of the forest. I just realized there's a wheel reaching for the clouds and the hussy doesn't have both feet grounded...err...well...you get the idea.
To Dodgy: I did something wrong. It was supposed to be a hotlink. While a bit of a pain, cut and paste it in a new tab and it'll work. Sorry about that.
Working Hasegawa construction equipment up next. It'll be nice to get back to kits that don't need a hundred hours of rework.
Thanks.
