Nice work on cleaning it up and restoring it.  They were radically different and modern for the day, and still are in some ways.

Seeing what you've done, you're welcome to come over and do the same with the 1:1. Big Smile

Thanks

The Hess Traiining van promo scales out at 23' however it has a 26' window layout. I dismantled a sandbox survivir and rebuilt it as a motor home

Looks great!  Love the toys- the fire engine, wagon and stuff.

Great stuff my friend! It's awesome to see dioramas that are not always military themed.

First time I've ever seen a GMC coach and used in anything. I have a '78 26 footer.

Nice work.

The lot sizes for vendors are 20’ X 30’. My dimensions are restricted by the space available in my display case. I was able to fit in 3 and a sliver spaces and a little bit of roadway.

The main models on the dio include a Greenlight Winnebago diecast travel trailer, a converted Hess Training Van to a GMC motor home and an Open Road camper on an AMT Ram  snap kit.

the base is 1"styrofoam with model railroad landscaping on top. After  many mockups this is the final vehicle locations

The tent frames were formed from clothes hanger wire. After that I started to added various the "for sale" stuff. this included the Revell Porche 108 JR tractor, scooters from the Tamiya campus friends kits, diecst pumps , pop coolers and other junk. I created several figures to represent both buyers and vendors. The dio will always be a work in progress but I called a halt to it for now.

the following pics are a walkabout of my dio:

an overview of the dio

and finally it is parked in a display case

Thanks for looking
