This movie is near and dear to me. As a kid, I camped on Martha's Vinyard and not only watched the filming but, have a part in the movie as a kid on the beach.
Superb work Phil!!!
Great work on the chopper and 'Bruce' but I friggin' LOVE the water!!!!
WOW oh WOW!!!

That water is simply amazing .
I've never tried the aluminum foil technique but after seeing your dio, will definitely give it a go for my next stormy ocean dio.
Your thread topic is amazing click bait.
I totally had to come look at this and boy am I glad I did. It's a jaw dropping take on that scene.
Fabulous results and I'd be afraid to get too close to it for fear of getting bit!

This is a fabulous diorama. Everything about it is superb. Well done on this one!
That came out splendidly.
Mind, there is an irony that modeling "bruce" (the name assigned the animatronic shark prop) is "modeling a model" is delicious, too.
Love how well the "Harbor Patrol" lettering came out, too.
No doubt!
A beautifully entertaining piece of 3D art!
That is fantastic. It is incredible. Perfectly done. You are a genious.
Incredible diorama! Simply incredible!
My favorite all time movie is Jaws. Jaws 2 wasn't as memorable but this was a classic scene. Anything with the Jaws shark is terrific for me. This is really cool and well executed.
That's fantastic! Really nice job.
Thanks,
John
It looks really good...from what I can see. Any chane you could take some better pics against a lighter background, maybe medium blue. I find black backgrounds just make details disappear.

That is just beautiful work!!
Thanks Greg!
Thanks :)
I use the PNSO shark. Took me a lond time finding a good shark with the good scale on ebay. I guess you can also use a 3D printer.

Hey!
This ain't fair! I took an enlarged look at your Helo/Shark Dio. I got wet! That is how real it looks! Wonderfull and Insightful job. Love it for sure. P.S. Do you put it on a towel when you display it and do you supply towels to the observers? Again, Nothing short of awesome. By the way. "Is that the Extra shark head from the Pegasus Hobbies kit?"
I am still trying to decide which head I want to use. The Shark and The Diver -The Shark does a sneak attack from Below the camera Diver outside the cage! Or The Shark By Himself just for his sheer Predator majesty!
I've been wanting for a long time to create this diorama, as I love this scene from jaws 2 when I was a kid. Its so over the top. So I bought an old MRC kit for the bell helicopter HTL-4 (1:35), I think its made by Academy now. First time i use the tin foil method...work very well.
