Many thanks all! This was a fun build, and the comradiere (did I spell it right? ) of the Regia Aeronautica Group Build was second to none. (shameless plug for Guy, hoping I get special privileges now!) Stop by and have a look, and build one too if you can!
Richie- You are to kind, but thank you very much!
Mike- Sorry, I do not recall exactly the psi I used. Just turned down the pressure until it seemed "right". I would guess about 12-15 psi? For the weathering, I gave her a flat coat with PollyScale flat and then gave her an overall raw umber oil wash. Some black oils for oil leaks, and a light overspray of Tamiya buff to blend it all together. Some light gray pencils for scrathes, and sme Mig Productions pigments for the tires/wheels.
Charles- Thank you very much! I appreciate that. [6]
Marc- I don't know what you said, are you insulting me?!? LOL OK, really- what did you say?
Sean- Thank you very much my friend. Mottle effects are some of my favorite to paint, but tricky to get it right!
jmabx- Thanks, I really appreciate that! I used wire and tube for the pitot, and it is glued very firmly to the model. I tried some gentle bending, but it is quite strong so the plastic of the wing would probably give first. I'll try to think of another way.
Guy- Thank you, I wouldn't have built one of these if it wasn't for your GB! A lot of fun for sure. Don't stand too close to the screen, it freaks me out a bit when people stand too close.
