Monogram B-25H Instructions

Here's a bump for new member cjb523.

There are two possibilities for Monogram Gun Nose B-25's, those that were not painted over glass noses but sheet metal conversions.  The more common is kit no. 5507, a B-25J with two columns of four 50 caliber guns, 8 total.  The other is kit no. 5500, a B-25H with four .50 caliber guns in a row, and a 75mm cannon low on the left side of the nose.  Here are the decal placement charts from both, the top is 5500 and the bottom is 5507.  When you let me know which you have I will put the instructions on my website.

Jeaton01, I was able to see all the pages except for page 3 and 8. For some reason they didn't download, and when I tried to open them through the internet it gave me an error. Thank you so much for the help already, hopefully we can figure out how to see the rest of those pages!

I'm sorry I didn't see you post earlier.  I have the very same kit and I would have been happy to scan my kit's instructions for you.  I'm glad John was able to help you out. 

I'm very curious to know what you're going to do with the kit's decals.  The colors and graphics seem to have been made with old technology and you can really see the dots used to make them up.  I've actually shelved this kit because I haven't been able to find any aftermarket B-25H decals that I like.  That part bugs me because many of those H's were extremely colorful when it came to their nose art!  The decal selection for the H variant is seriously in need of expansion.

Hello Eric, thanks for the welcome! I've subscribed to the magazine for years, as well as Scale Auto, and have been on the Scale Auto Forum before, but this was my first time on the FSM Forum. It's funny you ask about the decals, because I actually don't have decals for this kit. When I picked the kit up, it was started and missing a few pieces, as well as the instructions and decals. I did a search online for B-25H decals, and it looks like there was a set in production around 2001, but they aren't being made anymore. So honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do for decals! What I thought would be really neat would be to replicate the B-25H that is on display at the New England Air Museum in WIndsor Locks, CT. I live in CT, and have been to the Museum many times, so I have many reference pictures of 'Dog Daize'. It looks as though the scheme is similar to the kit decals that would have come with the kit, but obviously not having the kit decals, and there seeming to be no aftermarket decals for the H version, I honestly don't know what to do! Anyone else have any ideas?

PS- Eric the kit is really a nice kit, and the new B-25 Revell kits are almost direct copies of the Monogram one. Don't pass up building the kit, it's really nice!

I bought the same kit used, and found the kit decals were pretty beat up. I have SuperScale decal#48-51(unknown issue date) and  #48-992 (issued 2005) for this kit.  Sheet #48-51 has 2  "1st Air Commando Group"  B-25H's ("Sweet Sue" & "Dolly"), while #48-992 has Capt. R.T. Smith's  "Barbie III" from 1st Air Commando Group (India 1944) &  Capt. Henry Vikin's  "Vikin's Vicious Virgin" from 82nd BS/12th BG (Italy 1943). Nice decals if you can find them reasonably priced. BTW, "Vikin's Vicious Virgin" has the same face on it as the one at the NEAM. Wouldn't be hard to replicate the nose art for "Dog Daze" on the computer & print onto decal paper.

I don't think the cannon nose model has been reissued in quite some time, but the glass nose is almost always available around here.  Seems like I saw it at Michaels not long ago.  But it occurs to me you are probably talking about the decals, And I don't know about them.

I believe the gun nose version is currently in production.

I have built the whole lineup of Revell B-25s, everything behind the first bulkhead is identical.

Both sets are OOP but I've seen them on ebay quite frequently, although sometimes are pricey
