Here we go!!

She's definitely not perfect, but overall, I'm very happy with how she turned-out. It has been a very worthwhile learning experience to me.  It was gloomy and rainy here all day, so I didn't have any natural light for pics.  I made due in my shop with lights I had on hand.  I hope you enjoy the pictures!

The base is a Polar Lights universal model stand (about $7USD).  I had a nameplate engraved at my local "Things Remembered".  I custom cut 1/8" plexi to mount the squadron badge on.  I modified the stand by using carbon fiber tube I had laying around from my RC stuff.

This is the only pic with natural light.  The sun peaked through my loft windows for a few minutes yesterday and I snapped a couple.

Oh, man, that is SWEEEEEEEET, T3chDad. That's a ridiculous amount of weaponry and I love it (why I also like the A-10 so much). Great scheme, finish, and that base is just the icing on the cake. Awesome job. Hope my Flanker comes out looking half that good. Seriously.

WOW, this is one beautiful model.  If you didn't tell us that it's 1/72 I would have thought that it's a larger scale as the build quality and paint are so good.

Nice! If you hadn't mentioned it, I never would've known that you had made some mistakes while building it. Great job!

Hasegawa makes the kits for Ace Combat. http://acecombat.wikia.com/wiki/Merchandise  Hasegawa USA will also let you order replacement decals. Email partssupport@hobbico.com to request a quote for the decals you want.  I ordered an extra set for this Flanker for $10 shipped.  It comes from Japan by way of Hasegawa USA (Hobbico) and then ships to you.  I was told the process takes 4-8 weeks.  I do not know what the availability of any of the decals are, so you'll just have to contact them to see what they say...

Hope this helps.

Still looks great.  I don't know which photo I like better- the full sunlit shot or the head-on tent shot.

Simply outstanding. Like Dre and some others, I'd not have guessed 1/72nd in a million years if I didn't know. YesYes

BTW, your RC and your flying skills ain't too shabby either, mate. Wink
