My son's third birthday is coming up this weekend and I wanted to make something special for him. I decided to do an F-4 that I had in my small stash and paint it up in a Micky Mouse Clubhouse scheme. However, he seems to be more and more interested in the Justice League (Superman, Batman Wonder Woman, Flash, etc etc all those DC Comics heros) so I changed my plan and made it a JL plane. Did a pearl white base with red, yellow, blue, and black colors. Printed out a bunch of decals (Yep that huge photo of the Justice League really is one huge decal! Cut into three parts for easier application - I laid Superman down first then either side aligned to him in the center.) and laid them all out and sealed everything under a ton of Aqua Gloss and Future. Took about 2 weeks or so - most of that masking and painting. I trimmed off all the sharp little bits that would just poke my son or break off, and closed up the gear doors. The end result is a pretty good looking and durable plane that he can play with. Pretty happy with it

Nice. Hang it from his ceiling and it will be around for along time. My son (15) still has planes hanging from his ceiling some are over 10 years old
Great work! Your son will have a blast with it.
