I see some 105d thuds with white and others with green wheel well color. Was there a standard color for a specific time or run??
On some the actual undercart legs were white and on others silver, different companies using different paint?

From what I have read, early THUD's wheel wells were either silver(real early) or chromate green, only after Vietnam did they start getting painted white.
Sorry , I forgot to add it is a Vietnam based plane.
The instructions also shows the undercart legs as white.....just wanted to make sure this is correct before I start painting.

I recognize that F-105 as part of the collection at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison, Texas (North Dallas really). They have a very nice collection of war-birds there and it's well worth a visit if one is in the area.

Some thuds arrived in SEA in natural metal or silver paint with silver painted gear legs and chromate green wheel wells. Later arrivals with SEA camo paint had white wheel wells and gear legs. I do not recall the date when SEA camo was ordered (Tech order?). Anyone?
Nose wheel interior color semi-dark green. Main wing well color is white.i flew these machines.
