Haven't seen a model of the Betty as yet.  So I have to get out my engineering scale rule to get a sense of the model's wing span.  I come up with about 21 inches.   Nothing compared to the glass.  This is one to watch.  Looking good.

Tates is looks nice.  Since you already think i looks on the dark side you can use that to your advantage.  Take a that same color lightened and fill in the individual panels with a splotchy, uneven pattern. Then take that lightened color and mix it it about 95/5 thinner/paint and over spray that"filter" to tone it all down and pull it all together.

Looks good.   I recommend a neutral color like Buff.

Gotta say, I am liking the looks of this kit. I may have to add one to my stash. Nice  work.

Wow, VERY nice work.....

I have this same kit in my stash, only gotten to the interior so far but its a really nice kit of a seldom seen subject.  I paid less than $40 for mine, found it at a local hobby shop that does a lot more RC than plastic models.  I suspect they were trying to phase out of selling these kits altogether.  I did the masking the old fashioned way, because I did not know there was a mask set for this one.
