Some fifty-seven years ago the Recreation Department put a jet in our field. It was an early F9F Cougar. To this day when I think jet; it is a F9F Cougar. Kitty Hawk has finally released a one seater. The box is stuffed with parts. Four plastic bags contain two sprues each. There are two bags containing a clear sprue each. The two decal sheets cover five aircraft plus there is a small photo etched sheet. The instructions are in a sixteen page booklet that has color fold outs for painting and decaling. The kit number KH80127 is in 1:48 scale and can be built as an F9F-8 or an F9F-8P. This is a high priority build for me but I do not expect to start it for about six months, or until I finish my current B-29 project.
