nose weights Revell 1/48 B-24

Now that I have solved the problem of the missalaigned astrodome frame (with help from members of this forum) I need advice regarding nose weights. Has anybody built this kit? If so, how much weight did you add to the nose of the plane to keep it from sitting on it's tail?

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

Just do a dry fit.  Find out what works and add a little.

I found this place on the internet   http://modelingmadness.com/scott/accessories/terryweights.htm. They make custom molded nose weights for airplanes. The cost is reasonable $4.25 for a B-24. Has anybody used these weights?

JohnnyK,

I've used Dean's weights before and they're awesome! They're specifically molded to fit into a kit's internal recesses and gaps. They drop right in and fit perfectly. I've even used one that didn't need to be secured with glue. A little CA glue or epoxy will hold the weight in place. The weight of the...uh...weight is just enough to keep the nose wheel on the ground. A-1 product, and Terry Dean is great to deal with. Buy with confidence!

Cheers,

-O

-It's Omar, but they call me "O".
