Do217E-5 KG100 1/48 Pro-Modeler completed
Posted by TREYZX10R on Friday, May 27, 2016 7:29 PM

I did a Do217N a few years back using this kit with a Koster conversion, since then I always wanted to do the out of box E-5 version. I finally hooked one off evil bay and got busy. I finished it with Model Master enamels and topcoated with Testors Dullcote. This kit has been reviewed a blue million times by more skilled Modelers than myself so I wo'nt bore everyone with a rehash. I will reinforce that if you build this kit ,much like the Dragon Ju-88 series, glue the wingtip ends to the main wing parts then glue the halves together to avoid an ugly step.

thanks for looking cheers Trey

Nice work. I like that scheme, but unfortunately I already built that kit in the standard splinter scheme. But I do have a Do-17Z2 and a Do215B4 in my stash....

Extremely well done - that sort of camou takes both dedication and skill. Yes

Now that is some stunning airbrushing...Nice work Trey. I still swear by Testors dull cote too. Have yet to find anything better.

That's a fantastic job you've done!  I especially love the way you did the camoflauge!
