My obsession with the amazing imcth "Fine Structure" models has finally run out of steam.

I have just finished their Shinden, having previously built the ASM Zero, P51D Mustang and Bf109G.

This is my build log http://shindenbuildlog.tumblr.com/

I hope you enjoy it

Wow, these look great. I am not sure I would have the patience to tackle these kits, but I do love the internal details. Never even heard of these kits.

Oh wow! I'm with Waikong, not sure I'd have the patience to put one together, or the hand-eye coordination either. Still, that's just incredible and I'll be checking out your build log when I have more time this weekend. Thanks for sharing!

Your build log is very well done and well organized. Your finished model looks pretty good too. Smile

I too had not heard of ictch**. It's always fun to learn of new model companies and products so thanks for that too!

I usually like working with PE but as both Waikong and Gamera mentioned above, I'm not sure I'd have the patience for this either. Here's to you. Toast

** I would have gotten the company initials right if I could see the thread title on the <adjective omitted> reply page. Hint hint.

Thanks for your kind words.

The company is imcth http://imcth.co.jp/english/ and https://www.facebook.com/desktop.0/

I have also used Hobby Link Japan http://hlj.com/

imcth is usually a bit more expensive, but they include an acrylic stand. You will need this as they are heavy (just under 600gm for the Shinden) and have relatively weak white metal landing gear.

Re PE work, bear in mind that this is stainless steel about 0.2mm and nothing like the flimsy stuff in detail up kits from Eduard and co.

The models may seem expensive, but you will not find better engineered kits anywhere - and you don't have to paint them. When done you will have a beautiful object that will intrigue even those with no interest in model aircraft. IOf you have some complex models under your belt you will be able to do this. I built the Zero after a 20year "holiday" from modelling.
