Nice job on the pit. Don't you hate it when silly things like work get in the way.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I've always looked at this kit and wondered if it was really good. It certainly looks good so far. Nice pit.

Johnny, you're doing a fine job on the pit. How does the rest of the kit look? Does it have nice detail elsewhere? Is the fit good? Just curious.

Belay the response to my above question - I've just read reviews and comparisons between the Tamiya and Accurate Miniatures kits and now have all my answers.

I've had to stop my AM TBM-3 dio several times to get back to work. Work = reading, hiking, photographing nature, watching my favorite TV shows (The Americans; Better Call Saul, etc.), and going to the gym.

Retirement is, for me - a slothlike homo sapien, a real blessing Big Smile.

Thank you BK and Bob. It is actually a really nice kit. Haven't put the skis on yet and I've heard that is a little tricky.

I have a German He-129 in winter scheme. I haven't busted it out as I am completely unsure about how to go about painting on the overwash white. I like what I see on yours; could you go over what you did there?

painted the regular camo first then gloss coat then went over with a very light coat of white and a dirty white basically added a little beige to it.  Lightly sanding to bring out under color

Nicely done so far, yeah I'd like to know as well. Last week, I saw the IL2 at the Flying Heritage Collection near Seattle, very impressive.
