Continued prayers for Mrs. Toshi's recovery, Toshi!  Yeah, my mom had the same problem, when she had chemo after surgery to remove a colon tumor.  She was extremely fatigued.  She was also anemic, and the chemo treatments aggravated her condition.  She had to have regular platelet infusions to recover, after a chemo treatment.  Anyway, a merry Christmas to you both, and your family!  I look forward to seeing your next updates on your Monogram Wink B-17G.

Best regards,

Brad

Just got caught up with the thread.  What a neat project.   I am now subscribed.  Happy to hear that your wife is on the downhill side of things.  Everything else takes a back seat till our special people are feeling better.  I hope that the two of you can get back to doing what you enjoy real soon.  Best regards.

Thank you for following my thread, it’s greatly appreciated.  Yes, things were really rough around here.  Now that Mrs. Toshi is finally getting back on her feet, we should be good to go.  I should be able to work on my build here soon, I’m very excited to do so!  Once again thank you.

Yes, she’s doing much better, what really is a relief is that we now have some freedom and that Ezra our eighteen month old grandson who‘s been a real trooper lasted for thirty three days of Proton radiation treatment with Jeri.  We are now slowly hitting the gym on our condo property.  Everything now for Mrs. Toshi are baby steps, what’s great is that we’re heading in the correct direction.

Yes, today Ezra our grandson went back home with mommy and daddy and that left Mrs. Toshi time for rest and my self free to do some chores and bench time.  I know from my last Visible B-17G built a couple years ago is that it in your own words; “This looks like a monster project”.  And it is so.  Man city fan, thank you so much for always following following my builds, it meNs a great deal to me.  Once again thank you!

Toshi,

Back in the summer of 2014, about 3 months after my surgery, I began both radiation and chemo therapies. Near the end of July of that summer I was finally done with both - it seemed like I was finally free again. Great feeling.

My chemo was not that strong and I didn't lose any hair. The fact that you've shaved yours to be in sympatico with Mrs. Toshi is really telling about the kind of relationship you have with the Mrs.

I wish both of you a joyful holiday season and hope the twangs of the strings that make up the universe vibrate in favor of good fortune for you both.

As I've grown older and my hair thinned to a ridiculously few hairs in the center of my pate, I finally decided to just save the $20.00/month on haircuts and shave my head every week or two. I don't recognize myself in the mirror anymore ... it's just some old guy staring at me with incomprehension Big Smile. I used to have hair though. A few pictures to lighten up the mood follow .. First, on my honeymoon in San Juan (January, 1966), second, at a friends house, higher than a kite with my then girlfriend circa 1974 (the gal from the 1966 honeymoon was by then my first ex.) Third, my present decrepit state.

Thank you for such kind words.  I am most humbled and honored that you would share photos of yourself.  Mrs. Toshi said you were a very handsome man back in the day and your current photo she mentioned how debonair you look.  I must agree!

By the way, Mrs. Toshi said your first photo (circa 1966) looks like an old school movie star.  Well now, there you go.

As for Mrs. Toshi she’s going through extreme fatigue, but is very relieved that the thirty three sessions are over.  Now we can all relax including my grandson Ezra.  He was a very good boy and every session he went to he definately was a trooper!

We would like to extend a very great prayers for good health and prosperity in 2018.  Also have a safe and Very Merry Christmas!!!

Thank you Model Maniac,  I’ll try to continue to make the rest of the build as convincing as I can to the best of my abilities.

Yes, Mrs. Toshi’s illness took quite a toll on us.  But she’s slowly On the road to recovery.

Thank you so very much for your concerns, and especially following my builds.

To my fellow forum members,

Today, I was able to complete the radio operators bulkhead.  Also the adjoining ball turret section.  Here are some photos of what was done today.

By the way, the only reason I got this far is that Ezra went with his mom and dad, lol!  Of course it’s Friday night and Ezra’s parents wants to go out and see a movie.  So we will be watching him for a few hours then he goes home until Monday.

I should have two days worth of bench time in.  As for Mrs. Toshi?  She’s doing fine yet is extremely tired from thirty three days of Proton Radiation Treatment.  She naps during the afternoon and sleeps early.  That’s a good thing so that she can gain her strenth back in a couple of weeks so says the oncologist.

Anyway, here are the photos as promised.  Thank you for everything my fellow forum members!
