cbaltrin-outstanding build-your time & effort was rewarded.

What paint did you use for your Mustang?

Thanks Bob,

I don't even remember,  but I am guessing the yellow nose was testors gloss yellow... I do know I used alclad 2 for nmf

My Monogram 1/48 P-51D I did a few years back. Rescribed entire kit (a first for me). Spinner was Lengthened. Guns replaced. Open Panels filled. Main Canopy = Vac replacement. Decals = Superscale.

Have another one underway where I am backdating to a D-5. Markings probably 'Glengary Guy' or 'Texas Terror' if I can find markings...

That's a neat moon lander, Drums!  Very nice, I can see it getting an award.

I am good friends with the engineer at Aerojet who designed the rocket motors on the lander.  He's about to have his 95th birthday.

Mongoose, thank you for your kind words on my Corsair.

CB, that is one sharp looking Fokker!  Dry nicely done!

Aggie, that another gorgeous build from your Century Series Project! No Genie in the weapons bay?

Well, I have two thoughts on this:  1) I just opted not to put that Genie in there, or 2) in the photo of the underside, he is obviously landing, so perhaps he launched that Genie on a target.

Wow, there are some wonderful builds on this thread. Some of them from kits I didn't even know Revell/Monogram ever made. Great job everyone.

I guess I should add one of my Monogram builds. It recently won an IPMS first place award in March.

All of a sudden this thread comes alive with a bunch of nice builds!  All very nice.  And Stephen is too hard on himself!

I really need to build a Six, even have the gun pack for it.

cb1 that came out looking really sharp! I think the flat tone to your colors really sets it off.

In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!

It has been a very long time since I uploaded. Life got in the way of hobbies.

But my first kit in about 6 years is the 1957 1/28 Revell Fokker DR1 painted in the scheme of the "Evil Black Baron of Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome"

Super nice stik! Love the weathering and the tone of the overall color.

Thanks Stik and Aggieman!

Jeaton, Thank you.  Maybe, I was a bit irritated when I realized it had smooth fuselage interior, and nothing past the cockpit.  You really aren't going to see much of it anyway once it's closed up, so it will still build up to be a presentable B-17.  I couldn't leave it that way though since I've actually worked on, and flown in MMB.  So you are right, I was a little hard on the Revell kit.

Thanks Keavdog!

Nice work Keyda! I have a -G in my stash that I'll get to...someday...

I just realized that I never posted pictures of my Monogram F-84F. Just finished and "shevled" a few weeks back. If you missed my thread...here are a couple of shots...

Keep crankin' out these ol' Revellogram beauts!

Cheers,

Well done, Keyda. I think you are a little hard on the Revell kit, but you've certainly got a good result.

Mini Movie Memphis Belle.  A combination of Revell's 1/48 B-17F kit, and Monogram's 1/48 B-17G kit.  The Revell kit sucks.  Plain and simple.  It had no interior detail past the cockpit.  So I took parts from the G kit, which had nothing past the ball turret, so I still had to do some scratch building.  Took lots of work, and it's not a perfect replica, but overall I'm happy with it.

Mini MMB, with Mini W7 and Mini L-21.

Mini Whiskey 7 #2.  Monogram's 1/48 C-47 Skytrain kit.  I have one more in the stash although it's the AC-47, just because who doesn't love a Skytrain in camo?!

Nice Voodoos! Amazing cockpit detail in that 48 scale kit. go the 1/48 and 72nd scale version in the stash.
