This one will be OD/NG with salt technique paint chipping. The Revell will be NMF, either Alclad or BMF - haven't decided yet.

Happy anniversary, Swanny !
Are you painting this one OD/Neutral gray, or NMF ? I've got the Monogram kit with the resin interior. I started to rescribe, so there's no turning back now. Probably never finish that one.

Quarmyre - I generally use an automotive grade medium tack masking tape cut into thin strips, sometimes I will also use a liquid making solution with it. When I have large greenhouses to do and can find Black Magic sets for them I will go that way. For this one the bomb sight window detail was so soft on the nose that I used a piece of Bare Matal Foil to mask that area then continued with masking tape.

Nmayhew - yes, saw it - thank you very much.

Kik36 - yes but my boss may have a comment on that

KJ200 - you remember that movie "The Girl, The Gold Watch and Everything"?

Everyone else - thanks - you guys keep me motivated.

Congrats Swanny. I've got 8 months to go before I take the plunge. Hope it lasts as long as yours.

And way to go on getting another plane out. You're a machine!

Anyhoo, might I ask Swanny what you use for masking the clear parts? I've tried tons o' stuff (tapes, gels, etc.) and never end up with the results I see on your models.

Now that I've rested up a little from the Pedro build progress has resumed on the Marauder. I've spent most of this week filing seams and masking canopies but finally she is ready for the paint room.

Since this was taken I've shot interior green over the clear pieces to color the interior framework and am waiting for that to dry before an overall primer goes on. Probably won't get much done tomorrow due to my wedding anniversary (23 years) and I'm taking the wife out for the day shopping and stuff, small price to pay for such a wonderful woman.
