It's not a Shake & Bake kit, no... It does have some fit-issues around the nacelles (Adding a styrene spreader at the top of the halves goes a long way in closing the gap under the wings) and the cowl where the carb intakes are... It's easily fixable with some sprue and liquid cement, and/or a little putty...
The small gear doors are molded separately, the large ones are molded closed (Which is correct for the Mitchell when the gear is down), the bomb-bay doors will need some TLC if you close them, but they're pretty tight overall...
If you don't want a tail-sitter, add planty of weight, since it's really tail-heavy.. You can weight hell outta the gun-nose (provided you want the doors closed), in the tunnel under the flight-deck, and in the nacelles... Or you can use the stairs/rear-entry hatch combo...
The flight-deck...a few greeblies will do it good, such as seat-belts and some stretched-sprue levers on the throttle quadrant, and you'll need to scratch-build a gun-sight, there isn't one in the kit.
A little work is needed in the top turret where the guns mount, but overall, the turret's really well done, as are the tail and waist positions.... The waist guns would benefit from some ring and bead sights and some cable-tie ammo chutes...
If you wanted to add a radar pod to the right wing-tip (and get away from an NMF or OD/NG finish), it builds into a really nice USMC PBJ-1J too... If you feel up to it, the glass-nose version is out there too... Same kit, different nose and decals...
There are no rivets...
