1/48 WWII German After-market Decals

I'm clueless about aftermarket decals.  What company makes superb 1/48 WWII Luftwaffe decals (numbers, national insignia, etc.)?

Howdy I'm no expert but I just today layd down some for fw-190d build and they went down very nice.

Made by eagle. I ordered them from squadron.com they have many sets for german ww2 aircraft. other brands of decals also.

You're looking for generic Luftwaffe codes and markings only? Hard to say. Nothing new that I know of. Only the old oddball Aeromaster sheet or Eagle Strike sheets come to mind. Peddinghaus maybe, but stay well clear from that brand. Try Ebay, squadron, Sprue Brothers, Hannants. If you are looking for specific sheets of certain schemes, then Eagle Editions for sure.

Superscale/Microscale used to make the generic sheets that were useful: crosses for one, swastikas for another, letters and numbers in the various RLM colors to designate squadrons. Unfortunately, such useful sheets are no longer made and now we have to settle for the specific aircraft sheets put out by the various companies, or make our own on the computer & printer.
