Tamiya 1/48 Bf109E-4/7

Here's my 2nd 1/48!!! I used the Eduard canopy mask and cockpit PE and boy what a difference! I just wish that you could get a good angle into the dashboard...but hey! I know it's there!
My pre-shading technique is improving incrementally...this build was a big step though. Really happy with how she turned out...Enjoy!

Also, here's the link to the full album of 60+ pics of all fancy angles and whatnot:

2nd 1/48 kit huh?  Looks great for a 52nd 1/48 kit.

Nice job and certainly better than my 2nd build. Also, I like your photography but I did notice in the last picture with your reflection showing - the lens cap is still on the lens Oops. Great build and nice job - both model and photos!

Edit On second look, maybe just a reflection cuz I think I see Canon and lens info around the 'cap' Embarrassed

Thanks! It's was my second in 1/48! I've been building mainly 1/72 and larger sci-fi scales up to this point. And the lens cap is OFF on that photo! How else was I supposed to take the photo?? :P

See my edit - I was typing while you responded and I had thought maybe Photoshop. Sorry but I do admire (and envy) your build and the photos.

This does look great, nicely detailed, weathered and well presented.  Yes

Not familiar with the colour scheme, is this something new, or did you desaturated the photos?  It looks cool though, it's different.

regards,

Jack

Very well one.  I must say I like the grungy, war-weary look you have going on your builds.  Am I to understand that you wash them directly on the flat Tamiya paint?.  What kind of wash are you using?  Thanks for sharing.

hey guys! thanks for all the compliments! the colors are more of an interpretation of the RLM colors. the build itself is more of a what-if using all the different parts found in the box...more or less. i think i did do the wash right over the paint without a clear coat on this one...i think.
