Just finished this kit for the RD IV GB. Built OOB. Only issues were a little silvering on the fuselage codes.  Used Gunze Aqueous for the 70/71 splinter and Floquil 65 for the bottom.  Hope you like. John

Bummer about the silvering John, but she's still a beaut!  Always liked the look of that aircraft.  Your paintwork looks superb and the weathering is very convincing.  With a sharp needle and some setting solution, there's still an excellent chance of minimizing that silvering too.  Thanks for sharing! Pugnacious little beauty and well built. Makes me want to grab my shelf queen down and fight with it again. So far it's Tamiya 2, me 0, but your model inspires me to think I may actually win in the end, albeit with AM decals!

Now thats one we don't see to often.  Nice work John.  RLM colors are dead on too.  Thanks for sharing it.  You can maybe try a strong solution, like Solva-se,t on those and it may help melt them in a bit more.  Are those kit decals or aftermarket?

Well done, John.  I like the weathering too.  Good to see another model from you.

Nice job!  Peculiar shape, this plane.  Oh, and if decal solution doesnt work, you might want to try Elmer's Glue dissolved in water as decal solution substitute as a last resort.

Thank you everybody.

Joe yes they are the kit decals. Only had real issues with the fuselage codes. Other then being thick they went down OK. In hindsight I should have cut more of the backing away  especially from the G.  I have another 3 of these in the stash.  They are really nice kits.
