I'm not talking about "MO"staches , lol,

This month has been an exercise in using Evil-Bay to pump up my future builds pile.

Heres what the mail man has delivered this week:

Monogram 48th A-7A Corsair II

Testors 48th F-117A

Testors 48th RF-18

Testors 48th A-6A Intruder (old Fujimi kit)

Fujimi 48th TA-4F Skyhawk

KMC 48th Paddle blade Curtis Electric P-47 prop

KMC 48th 11.75 In Tiny Tim Rockets

and a ton of books as well as a few armor kits and accessories, now I just have to prioritze what gets to the head of the build line first

5-high, if you are planning on venturing into ebay 3 suggestions:

Be patient.  It took 6 months, but I was finally able to score a 1/350 Tamiya Tirpitz for less than $40.

Be careful.  Always contact the seller to make sure that the parts are all there if they don't say.  Some folks are reselling stuff they scored at a flea market and have no clue.  Others will actually get ticked off and not respond, or just say that all the sprues are still factory sealed (doesn't mean they're all there).  The good ones will respond quickly.  Always check the kit against the parts diagram when you receive it.  Ebay is really good about protecting buyers if the seller doesn't say the items are sold "as is."

Don't forget to plan on paying for shipping.  Ebay has new rules which don't allow the seller to alter shipping prices if they turn out to be more than expected.  So many sellers have started upping their shipping prices (some are reasonable, others are ridiculous).

It bites having someone score an item you are about to win, but at the same time I've been able to snag several discontinued models at prices cheaper than they went for brand new.

most of the stuff I get I use the "Buy it Now" option. The other up side is that one of my regular sellers is local, so no shipping, I just make a trip to Bridgeton and pick up the new treasure(s).

Yeah I noticed about the shipping hike too, it amazes my that they can dictate shipping rates to sellers.

I've only had one issue with a kit and missing parts. I bought an old AMT B-26 Marauder that came in missing its clear parts, so its gonna get used for the other AMT B-26 I bought thats complete, then I'm gonna build the other as a derelict.

If you can believe it though, I've only had issue with one seller and after the customer service I got I wont be doing business with them again.

As for being ready to build, I'm slowly getting to where I can get to the bench, school has been more important because of a decided career change.

I have gotten some smoke'n deals in the last year though, I think thats what keeps me coming back
