Revell 109G-6 1:32

So, after my Tamiya Emil in 1:48 I bought Revell's Gustav in 1:32 So far I must say it's an absolute pleasure to build. I bought fabric seat-belts from Eduard, as well as the bronze legs. I've only built the cockpit so far, here's some pics:

I might like to go for Hartmann's Y1+~ G-6 but I haven't been able to find Luftwaffe markings in 1:32 with just numbers and staffel designations. All I would need is a yellow 1 and yellow double-tilde (both twice) I know Eagle Cals produce a decal sheet for that particular machine, but the price is a bit steep for just the 4 (6 if you count Hartmann's heart marking) decals. Any pointers?

I'm working on the same one and I"m about that far along too.  The Brassin Landing Gear is absolutely wonderful and beautifully detailed.

Yep, I agree. Though this will be my first build where Iwant to get everything right as far as filling, sanding and rescribing of detail is concerned. Like the supercharger intake...

Nice pit.  Love the seatbelts.  I look forward to seeing this one come together.

Thanks for your kind comments so far. I will probably dab some white with a toothpick on some of the instruments. They're a bit blank still. I much prefer painted instruments with raised detail than ones sanded flat with a decal on top. I don't have a punch set yet, so punching out individual dials from the decal is not an option.

On mine I applied the whole decal onto the instrument panel surface and gave it several coats of setting solution.  It settled right in and it looks painted on.  Looking back, I think I should have gotten 1/32 dial/placard set for the kit.

Currently working on the cowl/fuselage. While I enjoy my first successful attempts at thoroughly sanding and rescribing the joints along the fuselage halves, I can't help but wonder why Revell would design the cowling panels in a way that don't follow the actual panels of the plane. Especially around the front there's joints that are less than 2 mm next to the actual panel line. Filling, sanding and rescribing those will be a serious pita. oO
