Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone can recommend which  1/32 avenger torpedo bomber would be best to build. My uncle flew one offf the USS Santee during the war. I would like to build one in honor of him. also what P40 kit would you recommend. Thanks in advance

More importantly- who is this uncle? Not for public knowledge, but you should find out everything you can about him. What Squadron (s)? Atlantic? Pacific? Both?

It must be a pretty damn good story.

Hello again. My Uncles name was  Walter Wadeikis. I do not know his squadron nor service theaters. But I hope to finding out more from my cousin this summer. Sadly he died several years ago.I do remeber playing with his flight helmet etc.. when I was a kid. He also still had his flight clipboard with his last mission parameters. I was thrilled as a child but did not appreciate his service yet.My cousin has his equipment, so hopefully well talk this summer.

Is the Trumpeter kit like their F4F 4 early Wildcat kit. I am in the process of repairing the wing root then on to weathering. I need to learn how to photo this stuff so you can offer suggestions, But i am pleased with the Wildcat so far... Its only my third model in 40 years. But I am lovin the hobby!!!

You must know this guy...maybe your cousin. Thats a post on the Santee Finding Shipmates sites. I find organization sites to be great sources of information.

'44 would be the Pacific.

Hello GMorrison.  If I am not crazy, that's my Uncle Walt, your grandfather.  Is you father's name 'Jeff'?

No, that's your uncle Walt. I got the image out of a Navy Vet data base. My dad was a Korea era vet named Kirke.

Where can I go to get this photo, what is the website?  I appreciate your sending this info to me.  The photo you have attached of Lt. Wadeikis is my uncle.
