Ejection Seat Colors
Posted by DWood538 on Thursday, April 17, 2014 4:04 PM

I'm buying paints right now and I wanted your opinions on the colors for the ACES II ejection seat, specifically in the F-15E. I need to know the green color on the cushions, the grey color sometimes found on the seat belts and head rest, and the neon green on the bottle. Also, I've noticed that the color of the cushions/fabric seems to vary drastically between planes, so what color combination would you recommend for an F-15E (Revell kit)?

Try olive drab for the seat cushions, ghost gray for the headrest, and some kind of medium green like from the Testors square bottle for the O2 bottle.

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Don't go crazy over what is "correct". The seat frames are black, cushions can be OD and will have different shades due to wear, material, etc. belts can be a light gray shade.

Thank you all for your input! The consensus seems to be od green cushions and ghost/medium grey for the headrest
