Question on a model for a museum bird...
Hey everyone, I have been enamored with the "Lady Lex" (U.S.S. Lexington CV-16) ever since she was turned into a museum ship in 1991. Every time I go visit my grandmother I try and visit this lady of the sea. My grandmother will turn 95 this weekend, so the my wife and I are making a vacation out of it.
I got online to check pricing and noticed that they've started a scale model exhibit of over 370 pieces. Then I noticed they're in need of various craft, both planes and ships. So, while there are not guarantees that I'll make the cut, I've found one I want to take a crack at. I think after my last build and my current build, I'm getting decent enough to make an accurate/pleasing showing.
I'm looking at doing Hasegawa's Nakajima's C6n1 Myrt. Has anyone done this particular kit? If so, what are the good, bad, and uglies.. Well, bottom line: is the kit a good build? I suspect, being Hesegawa, it is but you never know.
Any input at all would be appreciated. Thanks, Raymond.
