Not bad, as far as fit goes. Last copyright is 1968 on box. I can do passable canopy work and for those who are not among the cognoscenti engaged in this medium it will look pretty good.
Here's the problem: The canopy and the underside observer glass came out OK but the nose glass has given me fits. It wasn't my intention to produce a world class model because I'm still on a learning curve but I have redone the nose glass so many times that it's no longer of use IMO. Can replacement parts for models like this be ordered?
I have a lot of models and the 1/72 scale is kind of a practice for me before I ruin anything of a larger scale. Conventional masking with Tamiya tape worked well with the other glass. I just taped it using an Exacto to fit the mask, no good, then the liquid mask, no good. Finally just strips of tape one section at a time. No good because the Exacto left cut marks that made it difficult clean up the excess paint with a toothpick.
Anyway, are parts still available for a kit this old? Too close to finished to let this stop me. I suspect this is not an unusual situation amongst modelers.
