just finished up this kit,
newer release of the old monogram kit.  I made it out of box, only adding homemade machine guns and antenna wire.

thanks for looking!

Nice job James. I got that kit last month for my birthday and now I think it's time to build it.

The weathering also looks very good.

Cheers, Tommy

This looks fantastic James.  I'm becoming more and more convinced that I was wrong about Revell kits not standing up to newer manufacturers.  I've always been a fan of this scheme too. =]

You mentioned it's all OOB.  Were the wheels and fuel tank you used included in the kit as well?  They look especially nice.

thanks !, yeah those are the kit parts, you need to be careful when you glue the wheels together not to sand off the tread pattern when removing the seam.

same thing on the fuel tank, it has a giant seam and because that tank has ribbing on it its hard to get rid of!,   the secret is to liquidize your putty, I just mix my bondo with tamiya extra thin apply it on in a few layers

That is a beautiful rendition of the old Monogram/Revell P-47 Razorback.  I've seen a few of these recently, and they can be made into really nice models.  I like the chipping on the fuselage and canopy.  Well done!  I do wonder about that shiny fuel tank though.  I don't think they were quite that sparkling.  Big Smile

Very nice build, I hope my HSG turns out near as well.

Like your OD color.   What brand did you use?

Very nice build, weathering is perfect.  What did you use for the antenna wire?

It's missing a tire, JT; I usually see 4 tires and two doors on your builds. Really nice job!

Ty James for the color. I've used MM  Olive Drab, but it just doesn't look right on my Huey
