                        I hate to say it, but I am actually glad you ran into this before me. Since my kit is rather old, and opened by someone else. I may just skip the issue altogether and go with a local ace and build his mount. The Boise Bee. This would eliminate any issues with kit decals for me anyway. I do love the blue nose though.

                        Eagle Strike made a sheet with those markings...called Blue Nose Bastards of Bodney Pt. II (IP 4808).  Its the same one that has Preddy's last Crimes A Mighty mount.  I've seen it on E-Bay from time to time.

                        There's a liquid decal film that might solve your problem if you haven't tried to use the decals that are unique to that particular P-51. Squadron online or your lhs should have it. Other decals like the star and bars can be sourced from other places.

                        I am building that model now. Not to the paint stage yet. I hope my set stands up. Another building is looking for them as well.

                        HELP! Looking For Hell Er Bust Decals In 1/48

                        I have been working on the Pro modeler version of the P-51 B/C and am doing the Hell Er Bust version. I have painted it in the olive/gray scheme.

                        I am now ready to apply the decals, but the kit decals that are quite old (15+ years) are shot. I tried to use them and they just crumble to bits when I try to slide them off the backing.

                        I have spent hours scouring the internet and the only set I can find is the Eagle Strike IP4808 and it appears that they are discontinued.

                        Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
