 The funny thing is, on this paint job, I sort of really hit the "sweet spot" regarding paint mixture, AB adjustment , distance from model, etc.  It was just so easy to spray a nice, tight line for the camo.  I've struggled to hit that same "sweet spot" ever since, lol.

Texgunner, is that the old Revell kit, or the Monogram Promodeller kit? Came out nice whichever.  Is that camo tan and brown or is it just the picture making it look that way?

To expand my earlier post, the ProModeller kit is really a Hasegawa kit in a Monogram box with a Monogram price tag usually. The Hase Phantoms aren't shake and bake by any means, but they do have nice detail and go together nicely with some patience and some experience.

The Revell kit is a lot less detailed. It is just like the old Revell (Not Monogram) F-15 and F-14. Decals for instrument panels, basic slab side seats, simplified details just about everywhere. I have one of each of these three kits actually. I bought them for nostalgia (built tons of them as a kid) and probably will build them at some point.

Yes Dave, that is the Revell kit. Thanks for the compliment; the things I didn't know about building models way back then.

Look for the Monogram ProModeller F-4E on Ebay.   With luck and good timing you can find a deal on these. Don't buy the old Revell kit.

OMW  that's a georgeous build...makes me wanna start building jets

Yup I have built this kit earlier this year, its not too bad, the intakes need a little work, but the worst part is trying to get the canopy to line up. If you can get a hold of some new exhaust cans that would be a plus. There is very little detail on this area. The cockpit is also lacking big time in detail. But it does have recessed panel lines which is a plus.
