This a great looking model.   I'm not allowed to have motorized models because my wife doesn't think a 61 year old should be "zoom, zooming" around the house.  It is also just too tempting to "zoom" when my teenager has his girlfriend over.

How did I miss this?! This is wonderful!  How'd you go about turning the prop?  I see the wire beneath the belly for power.  How much space was needed for the motor?

Mike - thanks!

Raymond - thanks for your kind compliments! A tiny motor sure makes this kit look real and lively!

knox - thanks for your kind words. Your "zoom, zoom..." reminds me of the song "Super Bird" by Neil Sedaka singing "zoom, zoom, zoom, Super Bird". You know this song?. BTW, I'm a bit older and still zoom, zoom, zoom... around.

bvallot - thanks for your kind words. This kit is a motorized version by Tamiya. It comes with a tiny motor, wires, battery box, base, etc. What you need extra is an AA battery. This page shows all parts & instruction sheets of this kit:

I think it took "Artama" my artist between 10-20 hours to finish this.
