Allison Mustang

P-38 all the way, But I do love the look of the Allison engine mustangs.

F4U Corsair, they just look so elegant.

F4U-1A, specifically.  Like the 3 bladed versions best.  

SBD Dauntless. Looks perfect to me.  And what an amazing combat record for an obsolescent aircraft!

B-25. It's the only warbird I've had the privilege to catch a ride in.

Any version of the F4U Corsair, and, running a close second, the Focke-Wulf Fw-190D-9. Kurt Tank designed one mean-lookin' plane with that one.

P-47 Razorback!

For me it'll always be the p-51d. My great uncle use have one, and ever since I saw it at an airshow when I was little I was hooked. Second favorite would prolly be the dauntless

Westland Whirlwind all the way; an absolutely beautiful aircraft.  Oh, and 4 nose mounted 20's - Gadzooks!

Ever since the old TV show "12 O'clock High" and Col. Gallager flying the P-51D, the Mustang has been my favorite.  Hands down.  That may be a common choice but there it is.  Second has to be the Forked Tail Devil, P-38.  Those big twin engines are just awesome plus that firepower blazing out the nose.

To look at, it's the P-38.  To model, gotta be the 109.

Other two (for full podium): Curtiss P-36 Hawk and Hawker Hurricane!

I like the spitfire mk vbs with the tropical radiator in aussie markings! But one of my favourites at the moment is the bristol Blenheim mk 1

Me262 is my fave, but any type of Corsair is a close second.

I have 6 favorites in no particular order:

Curtiss P-40. Nothing says WWII quite like it.

Supermarine Spitfire. Most elegant aircraft design of WWII

Messerschmidt BF 109. Willi's lil fighter just looks so damn cool

North American Mustang. The plane just drips victory

Grumman Wildcat. Rolli-polley fighter that was tough when we needed it

Mitsubishi Zero. Japan's wonder fighter that seemed unbeatable.
