Dual building with my son, a suggestion please
Posted by CarnivourousDonut on Monday, October 6, 2014 7:53 AM

My son (13) wishes to build a Spitfire airplane. He's not picky about the version. He's never really built a model before, so I was thinking 1/48th, and something that goes together well. I'd build the same thing, so we could match progress, etc.

Suggestions on a good, easy to put together, Spitfire manufacturer?

Cheers!

Revell Monogram makes the best Spitfire for the cost in 1/48th scale.  VERY reasonably priced, too!

Agreed.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

I've heard a lot of good press about the new Airfix kits too.

Try one of the Airfix 1/72 offerings. They go together well, and look the part. HobbyBoss may also have one in it's easybuilder line. Building the HB Me-109 with my son, and it went together quick.
