Mike, I get what you are saying. But, there are plenty of different aircraft to model,,,,,,,,more than I have done or could get done in my remaining modeling time.
The part I wonder about is all that aftermarket conversion stuff, and fantastic decals.
There is a really good resin nose conversion to make an A-6B from a Fujimi kit, with two markings options from Mark at Wolfpak. I haven't seen a single one built anywhere on the web yet. Same for the Nuke aircraft on Wolfpak's Victor Alert sheet,,,,,,,I don't remember seeing any of those aircraft finished,,,even though the nukes are sold out, and haven't appeared on any internet model that I know of.
The list goes on and on, C-2, C-1, RF-9J, ,,,,,,,not even one of the EA-4F in either scale that the Nats sheets came in, and the Nats just went to that area again, 6 years later.
I know why I haven't got any of those things done yet,,,,,,,,I am still getting all the "regular" aircraft done that people have been skipping,,,,,,but, it seems that some of the people with 500+ finished models would have built some of those conversions, fancy decals or obscure weapons,,,,,,all of it sold out.
Oh well, back to my OOB Fujimi F-4M with XtraDecal special decals. (a person has to just love Blue to build this one, lol)
