Academy's 1/72 scale F-35A

My granddaughter is going in the Air Force, so I decided to build her a model of the newest airplane as a gift. Well, I picked what seems to be the hardest kit to build. Actually, the build is not bad, but painting all those lines and shapes, which is part of the stealth system is a killer. Any great ideas for paint this kit will be greatly appreciated. I tried to see if she will go into another service, but that didn't work. Thanks, Lenny

You could build her an F-35C...the ultimate version of the breed, going into naval service ;)

I don't want to build another plane, I want to get help painting the "A" version.

Hi Lenny,

Phil Pignataro reviewed this kit for FSM a few months back. He used masking tape to paint all of the zigzag lines. He said it took him about 10 hours to complete the task.

You can find the review here
