Well done and I like the muddy wheels.. You also picked a gem of a kit to start with.  Its one of my favorites.  Thanks for sharing.

Dang U2!!!  I've been back in for a year after only a 25 or 30 year break and I'm still not that good!  Fantastic job and a great plane.  And I agree, the materials we have to work with today, including many of the models, are much better than what we did back then.  Again, wonderful job, and we'll be looking forward to seeing what else you produce.  Raymond

Thanks for the kind words.  It's encouraging.

Paint was Vallejo Air and Tamiya acrylics.  The Winsor & Newton Acrylic Matt Varnish topcoat hides a host of sins.

Holy cow, this is great work after a 40 year break. My first build back was nowhere near this good. Nice work on the kit decals too. I too like Bobby's videos, I'm tempted just to sign up there and pay for them all.

First aircraft build in 40 years.  Last time was with Testors enamels and dime store brushes.

The Tamiya kit was a dream.  Fit and detail were excellent.  Almost nothing to fill.

Hats off to Bobby at Genessis Models.  His online videos were a great assist.  The new cements and acrylic paints really make the project go fast.

That was fun.  I think I'll try a Dauntless next . . .

Cheers!

Mitch
