Yes, the ships forum often has rigging discussions.  However, even though I am a ship builder, I recommend thread for rigging both ships and planes.  Regular woven thread is good for WW1, but for something as late as the Stringbag, I would use monofilament.  You can color it with magic marker.

I am an advocate of drilling through wings for wing rigging, nipping off thread at surface and touching up surface with a tiny drop of color.  Easiest way to tension rigging.

I'd recommend using wire. See the "Antenna" message thread in the SHIPS forum for some good suggestions on wire.

In 1/72 scale I believe you'll be happier.

Bought the 1/72 airfix.

Lots of detail but no instructions on how to rig the bugger , just some pictures.  Got some more pictures off the Net but could not find any details-------  any suggestions?

Have made wooden sailing ships so I have some experience with the fun detailscof riggin
