Wow tha has to be a monster in 48th!
Theuns
I think Theuns took the words out of my mouth.
Nice start, looks to have the same interior as the 72nd kits. I got one of those recently and it looks really nice. Looking forward to seeing more.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Things are coming along nicely. The fit of this kit is incredible! The only problem I had was that I needed to trim the back edge of the wing assembly where it fits into the fuselage. I was surpised by that as everything else fit very precisely. Having built one of these before in 1/72, I did not realize just how huge this thing is in 1/48! I am running out of shelf space so I am going to have to do some rearranging to find a home for it when its done.
Boy that things a biggy. Looks good.
I wonder if we will ever get a 32nd one. I would be up for that.
Nice work on the interior - looking forward to the rest of the build! I had the 48th scale kit, but eBay'ed it because of the size, and recently picked up the 72nd scale C-3. Hoping the smaller scale will have the same level of detail as it's big brother, 'cause the 48th is an awesome kit.
Mike
Mike, I have the same C-3 kit and it looks to have great detail and includes those internal fuel tanks.
Are those green boxy things thru the middle of the aircraft Boom racks? Wonder if that is why they were prone to breaking their backs when landing.....structure wise?
Very impressive build thus far...

Awesome work John. Always liked the Condor. Like a C-47 on steroids. I'm surprised the Luftwaffe never utilyzed it as a strategic bomber like the B-17. I would imagine it had a large payload. I look forward to your progress. Do you have enough paint?....lol
Joe
"Can you fly this plane and land it?...Surely you can't be serious....I am serious, and don't call me Shirley"
Great work there john.
Joe, the Condor had a bombload of about 4,600Ibs, just over half that of a B-17. But there was no bomb bay as such. The only place for carrying bombs internally was in the ventral gondola.

mustang1989 lawdog114 Do you have enough paint?....lol Paint? lol. How about do you have enough work space?? Cool build man......really cool! I like these alot and would build one but I don't have enough display space to begin with!
You could always try a 72nd one
Model wingspan in 1/48 about 2ft 3in. You can add on a room for it. Will add equity to your home.
WOW, that was a quick finish. She looks real nice, great fob on the scheme, I know they are not as easy as they look. She is a real whopper.
that turned out quite nicely. and that was fast. it takes me longer than that just opening the box and staring at the parts and instructions. i will have to do a plane in 2015.
